I think there would be nothing worse than a prospective student visiting your YouTube channel and having the most recent video be from last school year. I realize I’m making the case for a school to have a YouTube channel but here’s the catch – don’t launch a YouTube channel for your school unless you are willing to fully commit to the work and effort I’ll discuss below. I also believe that videos highlighting your school can help with retention and as well as allow alumni to further deepen their connections to their alma mater. YouTube is the second most poplar search engine behind Google, which actually bought YouTube a few years ago.Īs a result, the potential for YouTube to help with your search engine optimization efforts is immense.
